Architect and interior designer

Your new ‘adventure’? what are you inspired by?

For me, designing objects and interiors is a natural gesture. I am a very curious person and me like to carefully observe everything around me in my walks around the city. I love to move freely, cultivate my interests and choose for each project something special.

The reasons for approaching this ‘world’ with the interest and the determination to create a particular reality

I have always loved the interior space and its stories. The atmosphere of the old houses full of details and memories fascinates me. And I consider the minute space of everyday life one of the most important and complex to design. The furniture is not something frivolous, but the part of the space with which we build the closest relationship. The words of Andrea Branzi and Ettore Sottsass have completely shaped my approach.

Essential elements and important elements that distinguish the your job?

I like to combine the new and the old. Each project is always a research: from the study of space, to the little everyday things, I always try to get to that simple solution, but special, able to welcome everyday life and the passing of time.

Some aspects of your experience, made of preciousness and little things

If I can, I go out and take the time to enrich the day with small beautiful things: give it quality of the ceramic in which to drink morning coffee (it must also be good of course!), to the pavement of a small street, taken by mistake. If I don’t have time, I mark the day with short but intense home rituals. All this I need to put more energy in the project!

Is colour fundamental for?

Giving heat and vibration to a space, to overturn the atmosphere of an environment.

Which you could not give up…

I can’t tell you just one colour, but a combination. Certainly flesh pink and red raspberry, with some Navy blue details.

Which instead you don’t support…

Desaturated mixes or all white.

You are a fan of…(design, art, female characters)

I love people who are strict, but who don’t take themselves too seriously.

Your ideal customer…

Marie Antoinette

Your real customer…

the people I meet to whom I try to convey my passion.

Projects in the next future…

a long journey to the East

Your dream is…

I would like to have a studio-laboratory, which is also a little an exhibition space for the pieces I design, and a bit of a home. Already now my house is a small one 60 m2 laboratory where I experiment with my ideas. It’s a rotating space, I change often furnishings and finishes.
