From the latest newsletter that has just come out (if you are interested, you can subscribe: you will only receive it once a month), I have extrapolated a few topics that I have decided to present in this article as well, relating to the beginning of the year…Happy moments!.

I decide to choose a word that becomes an intention, prompted by a gift-wishing. The simple word is ‘listen’, myself and others!…an arduous task for me but nevertheless possible.I decide to choose a word that becomes an intention, prompted by a gift-wishing. The simple word is ‘listen’, myself and others!…an arduous task for me but nevertheless possible.

…but what about resolutions?! Is this an old silly ritual that we pay attention to especially at the beginning of the year? We do not necessarily clear our minds by choosing the what and how with a deadline. The various salvific ideas jump with the various interferences of everyday life. We live a life where desires and needs are hidden behind small renunciations. But how much do we want to change? How much do we really give importance to intentions and attitudes that only concern us? Questions we don’t want to answer…in the meantime a few more smiles to keep us smiling 👀.

That the year 2024 may be in colour and the white of snow, sooner or later, will come…👀✨

Inspiration list:

-a photo that symbolizes your 2023,

-a symbolic photo of what you wish for 2024,

-scroll through your ‘gallery’ and look at a photo you had forgotten about,

-a quote to rewrite on a piece of paper to keep and…

-an illustrator who makes you dream!

I only took 3 images from the book by illustrator Sylvie Bello

Making a square seems like a colorful and enlightening compromise to me 👀

‘When you’re unhappy look at what you’re holding on to and let it go’

…’365 new chances’, an ironic suggestion for a blanket. A small, quiet luxury, an idea of comfort to match the current season, to experience pleasant moments recharging in the natural warmth, in a playfully tasteful style to personalize. You can choose the type of yarn and the colors to match, while I take care of the production!

Talk about a different fiber?!

Hints of material fibers (several episodes) to learn more about the terminology in use, starting with those of natural origin deriving from mineral (the oldest) and synthetic animal plants, through chemical processes (first 900′). All are thin, flexible, elastic, resistant structures, and with spinning they come together to create the fabric.

The length, diameter and shine represent the morphological characteristics of the yarn and determine the 4 large categories:

the vegetable, animal, artificial and synthetic fibres.

The vegetable fibres are obtained from the cellulose of plants: from the seeds, for cotton and Kapok (fruit of a tree from the rainy areas of South America similar to cotton but lighter);

from the stem, such as flax, hemp, jute and ramie;

from the vein of the leaf, such as raffia and sisal (agave sisalana from Central America) with a coarse and rough appearance, used to produce carpets and cordage.

Before returning to the discussion on the animal fibers that are dear to me and that I use in my home accessories project (which I will discuss in the next article), I will clarify the easily confusing difference that exists between artificial and synthetic fibres. They are obviously not natural but they have important differences.

The artificial fibers are obtained from substances already existing in nature, of cellulosic, alginic (organic compound derived from algae and used as a gelling substance) and protein origin. They are pure or regenerated cellulose fibres, mixed with chemical substances. Numerous varieties are derived from: milk, pineapple, coconut water, cactus, beech and eucalyptus trees, citrus fruits, corn, pomace and fruit.

The synthetic fibers are derived from the chemical synthesis of petroleum or compressed petroleum gas and are divided into groups depending on their manufacturing process.

Hi, I’m Roberta Licini,

Designer and consultant of furnishing accessories for the textile accessory.

What: I create and make knitted blankets and cushions. How: it concerns the style and interpretation of personalized ‘made to measure’.

For over a decade I have dedicated myself to consultancy with the study and research of proposals, design and creation of products on request (private individuals and sector studies).

With the ‘lr’ brand roberta licini I offer the possibility of choosing blankets and cushions (as available) from the mini collection (you can download the catalog from the site) or upon order request

(even for a single item with delivery of 4/5 weeks).

My passion with a certain aesthetic sensitivity dates back to my previous and rich experience in fashion as a knitwear designer.

The creation of a simple accessory can be complex, but the ‘ingredients’ are few: the right mix made of idea+thread+colour+pattern, choosing the appropriate technique.

Maybe something is missing to comfortably embellish your favorite space and blanket and pillows are valid allies
